Selling PET Bottles in Okara: A Walk-In Guide to Our Yard
Where we are on Okara Bypass, when we’re open, what we buy, and exactly what happens when you bring PET bottles to our yard.
Sheikhupura’s towns, markets and industrial belt produce a steady stream of used PET bottles — and recyclers need every clean ton of it. This guide is for dealers, kabadiwalas, collectors and factories in and around Sheikhupura who want a fair rate, honest weighing and a buyer they can rely on.
Sheikhupura sits on Punjab’s busiest industrial corridors — between Lahore, Faisalabad and the M-2 motorway — and its towns, markets, factories and roadside businesses use a lot of bottled drinks. Those empty PET bottles are a raw material for polyester fibre, strapping and packaging. If you collect, trade or generate them, there is real value in selling them properly.
Shahbaz Traders is a PET recycler based in Okara. We buy bottles from across the Sheikhupura area, then sort, crush and hot-wash them into rPET flakes for manufacturers. Here is how selling to us works — and how to get more for every load.
We price every load by how much clean PET it contains. In order of value:
| Your load | Rate (relative) | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Clear, clean, dry bottles | Highest | Becomes clear flake for fibre, sheet and strapping |
| Clear with caps & labels | Good, small deduction | Caps and labels are not PET |
| Coloured bottles | Lower | Coloured flake has fewer uses |
| Mixed clear & coloured | Lower | Needs sorting at our end |
| Wet, dirty or mixed with other plastics | Lowest, with deductions | Water, mud and non-PET add weight but no value |
Rates also move with the market — demand from flake buyers, virgin PET prices and the season (rates usually firm up in winter when fewer bottles are collected). We explain all of this in PET bottle scrap rate in Pakistan, and the winter pattern in why PET rates rise in winter. That is why we quote today’s rate for your load rather than printing a fixed price.

Larger loads — several tons and up, especially baled material — can be collected from your location in the Sheikhupura area. Send your quantity, bottle type and a photo, and we confirm the rate and arrange the pickup.
Smaller loads are welcome at our yard on Okara Bypass, Saturday to Thursday, 6am–8pm (Friday closed). Call ahead and we’ll tell you today’s rate before you set off.
If you sell regularly — every week or every month — tell us. Regular suppliers help us plan, and we keep a steady channel open for them.

Many industrial units in Sheikhupura generate bottles every day from canteens, staff and visitors — and often pay to have them removed with general waste. A simple setup changes that: a separate bin for PET bottles, a covered collection point, and a regular pickup once you have built up a load. It keeps your site cleaner, turns waste into income, and gives you a clear recycling record. Our guide to setting up a buy-back loop walks through it step by step. If you have PET production rejects — bottles or preforms — send us a photo and we will tell you whether we can take them.
Supplying flakes as well as buying bottles, we also serve manufacturers in the area — see our Sheikhupura page.
